Get Connected

When someone is diagnosed with Parkinson’s, we have found it extremely comforting and helpful to get connected with others in similar situations. We also understand that during the diagnosis process, hundreds of questions and concerns arise. We want to help by not only providing support, but also the resources to have a better understanding of what having Parkinson’s disease means.

Next Meeting: September 16th, 2pm-3:00pm

First Presbyterian Church
2415 Clinton Parkway
Lawrence, KS

This month’s meeting will be “Just Between Us”. JBU is a special meeting where the people with Parkinson’s meet separately from the care-partners. This allows the two groups to address topics unique to them. Many find that the knowledge and experiences of others is both enlightening and supportive. Each group has a leader to help guide and facilitate the discussions. We ask that the discussions remain confidential to allow our members to feel safe when sharing their thoughts.

We will gather at 2 p.m. and then split into our separate groups, People with Parkinson’s and Care Partners. Please mark your calendars and hope to see you there!
